Sim Entertainment, Joo Won’s agency, told Newsen on July 7, “Joo Won will be participating in filming SBS’s Running Man tomorrow (7/8). It is not to promote his drama or movie, but just to participate in the program.”
The agency rep added, “He has received casting offers from Running Man several times before but he couldn’t until now due to his schedules with musicals and movies. After his appearance on Running Man he will be returning through a movie and a drama.”
Joo Won was previously a fixed member of Running Man’s competing program KBS 2TV’s 1 Night 2 Days but stepped off the show at the end of season 2.
Meanwhile, Joo Won has been cast as the lead of the Korea version of Nodame Cantabile. Joo Won will be taking on the role of ‘Cha Yoo Jin,’ which is equivalent to Japanese character ‘Chiaki,’ while Girls’ Generation’s Yoona is being discussed to take the role of ‘No Da Mi,’ which is equivalent to Japanese character ‘Noda Megumi.’
