Actor Joo Won is set to further his studies after gaining acceptance into the 2013 cohort for the Graduate School of Mass Communications at Konkuk University.
Joo Won is already into his second semester at Konkuk University, having started in mid-September, to which he said, “I wanted to learn more theories regarding broadcast and video, so I decided to further my studies at the Graduate School of Mass Communications under Konkuk University. I will do my best in my acting career and studies.”
Joo Won graduated from Sungkyunkwan University with a major in Film and Television, and made his debut through the musical ‘Altar Boyz’ in 2007, and has been recognized by many to be a star who can dance, sing, and act.
He made his drama debut through KBS 2TV ‘Bread, Love, and Dreams’ in 2010, and continued to star in hit dramas like ‘Ojakgyo Brothers’, ‘Bridal Mask’, and ‘7th Grade Civil Servant’. He recently won much praise from television viewers for his portrayal of Park Shi On, an autistic savant who becomes a genius pediatric surgeon in ‘Good Doctor’.
Meanwhile, Joo Won will also be appearing on the big screen through ‘Catch Me’ this December, where he plays the role of elite criminal profiler Lee Ho Tae.
With Joo Won now in Konkuk University, he has now become the junior of fellow actor Uhm Tae Woong who had graduated with the same major back in 2010. Coincidentally, both are colleagues under the same management agency right now.
