【NEWS】140915 Joo Won Transforms into Genius Musician for ‘Tomorrow Cantabile’

Tomorrow Cantabile released the first image cut of Joo Won, increasing anticipation for the upcoming drama.

Group 8, the production company of KBS2’s new drama Tomorrow Cantabile, released Joo Won’s character image cut on September 15.

Joo Won will be acting as ‘Cha Yoo Jin,’ a third year student in a school of music majoring in piano and dreaming of becoming a world renowned conductor. He seems to be perfect with his good looks, natural born musical talent, and his father, who is a world renowned pianist.

Cha Yoo Jin is a musical genius who is unable to travel to Europe, due to a childhood trauma, which gave him a fear of flying.

‘Cha Yoo Jin’ is the Korean version of the character ‘Chiaki’ from the original Japanese drama aired in 2006.

In the drama, Joo Won will be leaving aside his usual gentle and good guy image and show manly and comical sides of him.
The production company stated, “Joo Won was at the top of our casting list from the beginning. We couldn’t think of anyone else other than Joo Won. As if he was responding to our belief, Joo Won perfectly transformed into ‘Cha Yoo Jin’ at the poster filming site, with his behavior, facial expression and speech perfectly synchronizing his character, surprising everyone.”

They added, “Expectations and interest has been gathering on Joo Won’s new character, ‘Cha Yoo Jin.’ But instead of caring about others’ response, Joo Won has been focusing on creating his own character. You can also anticipate his conducting skills, which he has been practicing ever since he was cast.”

Tomorrow Cantabile based on the original Japanese comic series Nodame Cantabile is set to air on October 13.
